Top 3 Summer Wellness Tips

There’s nothing like summer in Virginia! At Abberly Waterstone, our team members and residents are very excited for the upcoming summer season. The longer days give us more time to do the things we enjoy the most and for us, that’s embracing healthy living! We believe it’s how you live that matters and want to help you make the most of your wellness routine this summer with these tips:

Stay Hydrated: Whether you’re working out indoors or outdoors, you should drink plenty of fluids to replenish the electrolytes and salt you’ll lose while being active. Drink one to two glasses of water before, drink water every 15 minutes during, and one to two glasses after your activity.

Indoor Workouts: As temperatures climb higher and higher, indoor workouts can be more practical. Luckily, Abberly Waterstone offers an Adrenaline Cardio and Strength Studio in the community! There’s also a yoga and Pilates room with on-demand fitness so you can enjoy a guided workout on your schedule!

Outdoor Workouts:  Outdoor fitness is still enjoyable in the summer! Try scheduling your outdoor activities outside of 10 am to 5 pm, when temperatures are at their highest. You’ll find cooler temperatures during the early morning and closer to sunset. End your outdoor workout with a refreshing dip in our invigorating pool with sundeck!
